Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and check here R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as here reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to study in a general public university nsfas application or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
